About Us

WHO WE ARE

The Way International meets in Johannesburg, South Africa. We are a community of believers with something for everyone; whether you’re checking out the claims of Jesus Christ or church for the first time, or are looking for a new place to call home, The Way International has a place for you! Everything we do as a church, and the reason we exist in the first place, is because of God’s gift of forgiveness through his son Jesus. More than anything else, we want you to know that God loves you and has a plan for your life! Many spend their lives trying to earn God’s approval by following rules, attending religious services, or being a good person; the truth is that the only way to a fulfilling life and an eternal future in heaven is through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Join us this weekend for one of our services. The atmosphere is relaxed and the messages are relevant to your daily life. Through meaningful Bible-study, and incredible worship, our goal is to help you grow deeper in your relationship with God each and every week. From preschoolers to senior adults, we have ministries tailored specifically to every member of your family. We also have special events throughout the year, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. Take a look around the site, and don’t hesitate to contact if you have any questions.

Exodus 3:1-9

3:1 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed. And Moses said, “I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.” When the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then he said, “Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” And he said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

Then the Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. And now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. (ESV)

John 4:25-29

25 The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” 26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.”

27 Just then his disciples came back. They marveled that he was talking with a woman, but no one said, “What do you seek?” or, “Why are you talking with her?” 28 So the woman left her water jar and went away into town and said to the people, 29 “Come, see a man who told me all that I ever did. Can this be the Christ?” (ESV)

Luke 4:18

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovering of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed,
